Reasons to be Cheerful Week 2

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy with a Heart

This week has been tough for me as David has been away at BETT 2011 promoting Zu3D.  I am very grateful for the help I have had from my wonderful MIL and fabulous best friend but I have missed David more than I thought possible and I know that the twins have too.  He comes home today!!!

This week has however, given me many things to be cheeful about and that make my life a wonderful blessed one that is clear to see through the fog of only 3/4 hours sleep a night!

My Reasons to be Cheerful

1 Esther and William are thriving and learning new things everyday.  Esther has rolled from tummy to back this week, she has been smiling and cooing and chatting lots.  William has started to giggle and his smile is such a delight.  Both Babies are literally getting to grips with things incuding a spoon which bodes well for weaning!  They are on the whole content and well behaved children and I am so so proud to be their Mummy.

2 I really enjoyed spending time with David’s Mum.  It was very relaxed and easy and she is just brilliant with the twins.  She is easy to talk to about any old thing and also comfortable to be with in silence.  Readers of this blog will know that comfy silence is something I value in friendship so I hope that over the years Mary and I will be very good friends.

3 Weight is my third reason for cheerfulness, the babies have gained and I have lost! Hurrah!  Esther now weighs 9lbs and William is 11lb 2oz.  And I have finally fallen beneath 10 stone.  Still not close to my target weight of 8st 12lb but definitely progress in the right direction and so something to be cheerful about.

This is such a good thing to do at the end of a tiring week as it makes you realise just how lucky you are as you sift through all the good things to find just three that really stand out or define the week you’ve had.

Thank you Mummy from the Heart   a fabulous idea that is becoming a tradition to follow.

I look forward to reading through others reasons to be cheerful while continuing with our breastfeeding frenzy!!!
